The Italian dub handled its multilingual challenges with particular creativity. Landa speaks standard rather than broken Italian, and the Basterds' Italian lines were altered to use Sicilian dialect. This adaptation captures the essence of Landa exposing their charade, but through a different linguistic mechanism.
